GBlite 1.5
It's finally here: GBlite 1.5 BETA. The newest version of the GarageBand Typing app for PC. This new version includes custom sound capability -- which you can create custom instruments with. Just bring your own sounds and turn GBlite into any instrument, or a soundboard, whatever. Most of the instruments have returned so far (the rest are still coming) with several more still on the way. The instruments have been classified into groups, like Rock, Orchestra, Guitars, etc. so they're much easier to find. But of course, you can still use the All group to find instruments in the order of which they were introduced to GBlite. There are also painless ads that appear on startup (and only on startup) from our friends, who help keep GBlite alive, and help make it better. And starting now, you can too, for free. These ads appear below the on-screen keyboard, and can be closed almost straight away. Then you can get right on back to rocking. :)
There are still a few things missing -- the remaining instruments, as mentioned earlier; the added instruments, which are coming when this gets out of beta; several other features; and of course, typing. Typing currently can't be added for some strange reason, so for now you'll have to just click on the keys on-screen. It's almost as good. And besides -- you can still use the custom instruments :D If you want to use them for soundboards, clicking might even be better in that instance. Anyway, you can download this version below. Due to complaints of the huge download size, (.wav files are huge) you will soon be able to get GBlite with different pre-defined instrument packs. You can also, of course, download GBlite on its own, and then download individual instrument packs of your choice. Please leave feedback of how you like this release by clicking the Feedback button in GBlite. PLEASE REMEMBER: TYPING IS RETURNING ASAP! If
you are receiving an error upon application launch, please try
installing .NET
Framework 4.
